Kong dog toy review Not for every dog I have a pitbull shar pai mix and she wasn't very fond of it.I filled it with peanut butter the first time she licked up a little bit that was on the outside of the kong toy and didn't bother with chewing it to get it out.Second time i mixed her food with some peanut butter and some dry dog food and same effect had no interest in chewing or licking it to get it out.

Not a sturdy as you think. My tiny dog chews these thing up in days. We tried different sizes thinking they would last longer but it's not so much what is inside as the outside for chewing.

Good for a few hours... I love the kong toys for a few hours, but as soon as my dog is able to chew one little piece off, he's able to tear the whole thing apart in under 20 minutes. These either need to cost less or last longer.

Hard to clean The pets love chewing on this, but they would much rather have their treats in other forms. It's a great concept, but it is terrible to clean.

Our boxer has one of these and will only play with it if it has treats inside, especially pb. This is certainly a tough, durable toy....but without treats of some kind inside, it just doesn't produce interest. Literally, we had this toy a long time and it was never touched until I came up with the idea of putting a treat into it. Now we put pb and freeze....he LOVES it. I said that I would recommend, and I would, but with more info about the treats. i don't know of anyone that has a dog that will play with this toy without the treats.

I would recommend this toy filled with peanut butter.

I've bought this Kong and filled it with with treats that my boxer/ german shepherd mix and was able to maneuver the biscuits out of it fairly quickly. I filled it with peanut butter and she TORE IT UP fairly quickly.

THIS IS A GOOD TOY TO KEEP DOGS OCUPIDE PUT PEANUT BUTTER IN IT , BUT MY BOYS DO NOT LIKE THEM.

I think this product would hold up better for a dog that is not a lab. This did last longer than most toys but my chocolate lab ended up destroying it after about two weeks. Seeing it last that long, I would buy it again.

I have to say I bought one of these for my puppy and I bought the black which is suppose to be stronger cuz he's a pit and he likes to chew lol. The only thing is its hard to get stuff out of them if you stuff them like a lot of people suggest. Oh and my pup doesnt like it for some odd reason weird dog likes softer stuff like stuffed animals. WEIRDO lol.

Kong is a great product because it literally is the ONLY toy that my dog has shredded. On the other hand, it may be because she is not very interested in it. This particular toy has such a large opening that she has no trouble getting the treat out. Once the treat is out then she no longer wants to play with it. I personally don't recommend this toy (the large one), but maybe one of the smaller ones would be a better toy.

I guess I'm one of the few that is not in love with this toy. My corgi licked all the peanut butter out of this toy immediately. Lasted about 5 minutes. Same thing happened with a kong treat you can buy for these toys. If you have a treat obsessed clever dog, I can only recommend this to keep them busy for about 5 minutes.

our dog loves this- it is durable and occupys her for quite awhile! You can put peanut butter in it too!

I had a golden retriever. She played with this toy occasionally but really was like a kid - happy with a box or a sock. She also loved my son's pacifier when he was a baby. That is how we weened him off it by having him give it to the dog. Gosh what a great memory.

We had a great dane who loved this toy! She just loved getting the treats out and tossing it up in the air!
