This is a waste of money. I have a lab and it was useless on him. It might work on a small dog but I doubt it.

I really hate this product..... i find it much easier to snip the nail with clippers then it was to have my small daushaund dog sit still long enough for me to file each one....

I didn't like it. I bought one and it kept falling apart. Waste of money.

Awful product, worstless. None of my dogs have trouble sitting for me to trim there nails, but with this? Not a chance! Its loud, and makes awful sounds while actually filing the nail. It takes several minutes per nail, so you can imgaine the time it takes.

Before I got this product i saw alot of bad reviews coming from big dog owners, so i figured me and my chiuahuah wouldnt have a problem with it. Wrong! Her nails are tiny and it still takes forever to file them down! before i even get done with the second nail shes already getting impatient and wanting to leave. As for the noise, its not bad till you start filing, then thats when the trouble starts. I deffinatly would not recommend it to anyone.

Waste of money and very hard to make my dog sit still long enough to get all of her nails done!

My Chihuahua's nail got caught in it. He yelped so loud...The commercial forgets to add the loud drilling type noise it makes. Total waste of money.

This was a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY !!! If you press to hard the wheel stops sanding the nails. Our mini-Dachshunds nails took over 30 minutes just to sand down the front paws without pushing two hard and stopping the sander (we even put in newer batteries just in case). I just clipped the back nails like normal to finish it up, can you imagine having to take over an hour to trim a dogs nails...... I would never recommend it! The cat's nails worked better on them, but still a long process.

my dog is afraid of the noise & begins whimpering and pulling away as soon as it starts to file...FAIL!

I really feel I wasted my money on this product. I used it once. It scared my dogs so bad and they are used to having their nails done. It makes a loud noise and catches on the nails and pulls them. Just simple clippers and a heavy nail file works so much better.

Waste of money. Takes forever and Peanut hated it. For $5 I'd much rather pop into a groomer for a quick trim:)

Both of my dogs hate this thing. The one redeeming factor is that it works on my Pekingese; unfortunately, it does NOT work on my larger dog (a Lab). Also, it's so noisy that it terrifies both animals. It doesn't work quickly at all, none of that "5 minutes trimming" stuff. More like half-an-hour-and-a-headache-and-miserable-animals later, and one is trimmed and the other is cowering. Waste of time and money.

I was so hoping this would work, even tried it many times. my dog was so scared of the noise he would not get close to this. This is a big waste of money!!!

Go to your local home store (Home Depot, Lowes) and go to the tool section. You're looking for Dremel. You will find a Dremel multi pro tool. It is hand held and you can add diff. tips to it. When using it on your dog's toenails you want the sanding disc tip. We have 2 labs and we use this on their toenails all the time. This is the 3rd year we've been using NOTHING but the Dremel for their toenails. You do NOT want to alternate or us clippers and any sort of sanding system in conjunction. The nails cannot handle using both!! Please don't use clippers w/any sanding system. The Dremel has several speeds and you will use the lowest or next one up no higher. It will heat up so work quickly counting to 5 and moving on to another toenail. Google Dremel and dog toenails and there are a lot of videos that will come up. There is an excellent one done by the owner of 2 dovermans (sp?) She really knows what she's doing. The beauty of the Dremel is it's sturdy, runs off of electricity, sanding bands can be replaced, and it's fast and efficient!!

My dogs are afraid of this nail file. It really does not trim the nails using clippers is better. I feel it was a waste of my money as it did not work as advertised.
