Our dogs ate them and loved them,we purchased them thinking it was dog food treats and anyhow the dogs loved them!

My oldest cat had never been a treat eater until I got my first trail package of Greenies. OMG, she went NUTS over them. She has come to recognize the word "Greenies" when I say it. If she is somewhere I don't want her to be and I need to distract her, all I have to do is ask "Do you want some Greenies?" and she comes running and meowing!

Our cats LOVE these! They get so excited when they hear me open the draw with the Greenie treats and they all rush me and sometimes try to climb into the drawer. But I do agree that they do not help with their breath. In fact the treats themselves smell bad. That is probably why the cats love them so much! I do not mind the price since I do not give them treats on a regular basis. So it is nice to treat them occasionally.

All of my cats go CRAZY for Greenies . . . They are a bit too expensive and hard to find, but I love the fact that they are a much healthier treat than most because they clean their teeth as they eat them. I have to keep these locked up or my cats will tear apart the packages!

Now that they changed the formula for greenies, I use them with my dog. He is a Chi and the smallest size is perfect. He is my medical service dog and goes with me everywhere ... so I put a greenie in a baggie and in my bag. When I have a procedire where I am out of my wheelchair but he must stay, I give him the greenie to occupy him (altho he is trained to sit quietly even without a treat) and depending on his appetite and the length of time, he may finish it or have a lot remaining. Whatever is left over goes back in the baggie for later!
