doesn't work like I thought it would

I bought this product as an emergency during a trip, I have tried several products from this brand and they are all good specially for the cost of a $1. I can't say I am disappointed with the primer but it didn't work on me for very heavy eye makeup. When I do a more light/day eye makeup it is quite good. So if you are going with light eyeshadow I would say use this, but don't except anything if you are doing a more dark, smoky look.

I bought this product as cheaper alternative to UDPP or Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I bought it from e.l.f.'s website....and the product description on the website said that this product is meant too help the longevity on your eyeshadows as well as make them more vibrant. I found that it helped keep my eyeshadows on for longer during the day, as well as helped to keep them from creasing to a point. However, it didnt make my colors more vibrant. Actually, in most cases, it made my eyeshadows more dull than wearing them alone without primer. In my opinion, I rather reapply during the day rather than losing vibrancy from my shadows.

I have oily eyelids and although this does help in making my eyeshadows stay on longer, I would say it only lasts about 5 hours. After that the eyeshadow does disappear. It is what it is for $1 and if you are looking for something affordable that makes your eyeshadows stay on for about 5 hours, than this is definitely worth trying. The texture is nice, it is not too watery or powdery and applies smooth.

This eyeshadow primer was decent for the price but my eyeshadow still creased. For just a few dollars more, I'd get E.L.F.'s Mineral Eyeshadow Primer instead which is a much better product. The base of the formula for this product was too oily for me to use as a primer, but those with dry eyelids who want their shadows to go on more smoothly may have better luck with this than I did. This is definitely not for oily lids.

I was not a fan of this product. I kept making creases. It did not help my eyeshadow on longer. I had my younger sister try it and she had success using it. Maybe it just wasn't for me.

Use this on a daily basis. Keeps my eye shadow from moving off my eye and the same vibrant color from morning to night.

It's inexpensive and works great!

I am usually a devout user to UD Primer but since I recently was laid off from my job my budget doesn't allow me to purchase it right now. So after seeing this product on Pinterest I decided to give it a go! I have REALLY oily skin and my makeup usually slides off almost immediately after application. This product is definitely worth the few dollars it costs. I recently used it for a garden wedding I attended and I would say my eye makeup made it about 3/4 of the way through the day without any creasing. By the time I made it back to my hotel room my eyeshadow had pretty much melted into my crease but this product definately bought me some time!

really helps to keep my eye shadow on not all day but for most of the day. i love thats its so easy to blend and that it drys so quick.

This is a great primer! My eye shadow lasts longer and is more vibrant. No creases hear! And the best part is it's only $1 and you can find it at target! :)

One of my first purchases from the elf line... loved it! Definately helps shadows last longer... just not a fan of its texture. Its a bit powdery i think, but for $1 i can deal with it =)

I have this along with the other elf eye primer they both works really well.

I really like this product for the price. It's not perfect, but for a dollar, its a great deal. It's a little too oily for me, but thats just my skin. Overall I really like this product, it's a good primer.

I purchased this product from target for only $1! And I do have to say it is a very good product. Especially for the price. I really like this primer. It keeps my eyeshadow on just about all day! I haven't ever gotten to try The urban decay or too faced one because they are to pricey. But i am pretty satisfied with my ELF primer. Most likely going to purchase it again. I noticed they have also came out with two new shade to. So Check out the website! (:
