Carmex Balm works great when your lips are really chapped and hurting. It seem to work like magic overnight.

Having been a snow skier for many years, I have tried it all for chapped lips. Lip balms are too waxy, lip glosses have no hydration, and offer no protection. Carmex in a tube is a great lip treatment for dry, chapped lips. I was very happy to see the tubes because the jars held onto bacteria. Carmex is thick going on and has a medicinal taste and smell, but it coats them with moisture (for a minimal time), helps heal the chapping, and has some degree of protection against the elements. I do, however, prefer the Blistex Medicated tube. It absorbs nicely and I feel it working for quite a while. I think these products are both great, so it boils down to personal preference.

This is an old go to for super chapped lips that never fails to deliver. The only drawback is the medicinal smell - I wish that carmex could come out with a fruity or even unscented version with the same reliable benefits.

I love Carmex! It has been in my life my ENTIRE life. With my mom it was either this or Blistex for my coldsores when I'd get them. I had left it alone for several years as I no longer get those nasty things, but one day I just decided to give it a try, as just a chapstick. So I picked up a jar and I haven't looked back. That was about 3 years ago. This product is a 5 star product, but it gets 4 because some find the smell medicinal. It smells a lot like leniment/camphor- Which is what it's supposed to smell like, but it's still kind of a turn off.. But not enough for me to stop using it!

I like Carmex but I don't use it for everyday chap stick, I use Lypsyl for that and will never use anything else ever. Having said that I use Carmex for sores and such, for that it is great but for Chapstick not so much.

Love this product! I am currently on a medication that really dries out my skin and lips. This product has been a lifesaver for me!!! I don't like the cherry flavor however...tastes unpleasant! The original formula is great though!!!

Nice lip balm but I wish it had a nicer smell.

This is a good lip product! When first using it my lips felt like they were peeling but the more I used it the softer and smoother my lips got.

Great product to keep on hand at home or throw in the makeup bag on the go. Makes lips feel really good and is great for chapped lips

Now this product has been around forever and it still is going strong. We fight over the Carmex in my house- someone is always stealing. This is for sure a stocking stuffer in everyones at Christmas time. It makes your lips smooth. Also helps when you got a sore on your lip- which hasn't happened here in a long time.

My grandmother use to make me use this stusff all the time! Seems to be harder to find now, but the smell always takes me back to being a kid with soft lips.

I have used the Carmex in the jar in years, but I'm pretty sure the tub is equivalent. It works great to keep my lips nice and soft and helps to keep them from becoming chapped and peeling. I have been using Carmex for over 25 years! Nothing really compares to it. However I do not like the smell, but the tube has a cherry scent that is more tolerable.

This lip balm is, by far, the best on the market. I have tried more expensive brand and cheaper brands and this middle-of-the line brand is superior because it isn't greasy to wear, looks glossy (just like a clear liquid lip color), and it lasts for hours. I apply it before bed and it re-hydrates and rejuvenates my lips from the pollution, dryness, and sun that I come into contact with each day.

I use this almost every morning, and I love it. I used to use Burt's Bees, but carmex is much cheaper.

My second fave!
