Maybe it's just me but I had A REALLY hard time trying to get into this book. I tried a few times but it is just not a book that I would enjoy. I have never read gone girl, personally not a book that appeals to me actually. But this was really hard for me to jump into. I tried a few times and I just couldn't get past the first few chapters. I have read others reviews that this book was good for them but me? Nope sorry just not my thing. Thanks for letting me get this FREE copy from shespeaks to try it out though. Thanks!

suspenseful thought it was sufficiently suspenseful and would love to see this as a miniseries or movie. ~I received this book for free from SheSpeaks.

More horrifying than Gone Girl! I found the book hard to put down and very disturbing! i felt disgust and horror when I learned what the husband was really about! some of the terms and spelling were very British which was a little different but didn't take away from the story. The book to me was more disturbing than Gone Girl.

great from start to finish This book was actually interesting and kept my attention. Made me want to continue reading it! I like scary suspenseful books and this one definitely peaked my interest from the beginning to end. Thank you @SheSpeaks for my free copy :)

I couldn't put it down I didn't want to like this book, it's not the type of book I usually read. That stated, I read the entire book in a 24 hour period...I couldn't put it down. I haven't read a page-turning novel in ages. Felt good to be so totally engrossed in a book once again.

A chlling psychological thriller that will rattle your nerves! Jack and Grace are the perfect couple. He is a handsome, wealthy attorney who has never lost a case and she is a beautiful, classy stay at home wife. Jack never leaves Grace's side. Nobody can talk to her on their own, because they are inseparable. Are Jack and Grace truly perfect or is something going on behind closed doors? Behind Closed Doors is gripping from the start. Grace thinks she's met the perfect man. Jack is kind, loving and attentive to her sister with downs syndrome, Millie. Millie means the world to Grace, and Jack knows that and offers to let her movie in with them as soon as she turns 18. What's so terrible about that, right??.... Grace is such a likable character- sweet and protective. And Jack, well I won't spoil that for anyone... Behind Closed Doors is riveting, captivating and edge of your seat page turning. It also is mentally torturing! I'm sure you're going to love it. And have a glass of whiskey when you read it... ;)

Great thrill read! This was a great psychological thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat!! It is a very gripping read that will make you want to finish the novel in one sitting! Great writing and kept me very interested!

Great Read I really enjoyed reading this book. I love books and movies with a good twist and this was totally twisted. I like how it goes back and forth between the present and the past so you get to know more about the characters.

A must READ - NOW! Fantastic summer read. A page turner that had this busy mom staying up late because I had to see what happened next. A book that would be really great for any book club. I cant wait for more friends to read this so I can discuss it with them. Add this to your must read! I received this book for free from SheSpeaks

A good summer read! I am an avid reader so I was very excited to receive this book, as I enjoy this genra especially. It was a bit slow starting off as you needed to know the characters, and there back story. It did pick up tears the middle and was easy to follow. The character development flowed nicely.. As you grew to root for some, and hate others. It was a little easy to guess the ending, that would be my only complaint. That being said, it was well written, an easy read and definitely worth the day and a half it took me to read!

A fast, addictive, psychological thriller This book is a psychological thriller that is very difficult to put down. What struck me about this book was how disturbing it was, despite the fact that it contained very little physical violence. It is, however, rampant with emotional and psychological abuse. Detailing the story of a seemingly perfect marriage between Jack and Grace Angel, the chapters of this book flash back and forth between past and present. As a reader, you quickly discover that this so-called marriage of perfection is anything but perfect. If you are looking for a psychological thriller that is a fast read, certainly give this one a look. *I received this book for free from SheSpeaks

A slow start but picks up speed I wasn't sure what to make of this book considering a lot of the praise compared it to Gone Girl which I had never read. As I started it I was almost immediately bored and hoped I could get through the book quickly to see what all the fuss was about. While the book definitely starts slow, as soon as it picked up I was hooked and surprised that seemingly perfect Jack Angel was even worse than I could have imagined. There were so many twists and turns, and just plain evil that you just hate Jack with every fiber. The end was great as well and a bit of a twist at the end however if you were paying attention to throughout you're not too surprised. I do wish certain elements had been described a bit more but I won't reference them as they're spoilers, but overall this was a great summer read! I received this book for free from SheSpeaks

A real page turner I received this book for free from She Speaks to read and review. This story has lots of twists and turns that really keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going it happen next. I haven't finished yet, but I can't wait to find out how it ends.

I have a love/hate relationship with this book! I received an advance readers copy of Behind Closed Doors from SheSpeaks in exchange for my honest review. Behind Closed Doors is definitely a page turner, I'll give you that and I couldn't put the book down. I'm guessing the author got the reaction she wanted, from me, that's for dang sure lol! I hated the main male character (Jack Angel) and felt an agonizing combination of hatred and pity and rooting for the underdog with his wife (Grace Angel), after a while it was like "just get out of there girl!" I generally don't like stories like this one, but I'm a glutton for punishment and I couldn't put it down!

I received this free from Shespeaks. Very easy and engrossing read. I enjoyed the back and forth each chapter with past present. Definitely suspenseful and reminded me of Gone Girl. A bit outrageous and shocking but somewhat predictable, maybe because I have read so many similar books lately and see a similar formula. Fun and easy read and should do very well.
