This book is amazing. It is a great transition for people who have already finished the Hunger Games Trilogy. It is along the same lines & features a strong female role. I can't wait for the movie to come out in March!

great book I just loved the fact that this book was new and different it wasn't a story that i heard before it opened my eyes to a whole new world.

Divergent This dystopian novel is an incredible page turner! The characters are incredibly developed and, although they are entirely unique, they are relatable. Once you finish this book you will immediately want to pick up the next book in the series.

Absolutely LOVED this book and the whole series. My teenage daughters loved the books as well and devoured them as fast as I did.

Great read! One of my all time favorite books. Definitely available for teenagers to read as well as adults. Great read!

I love Veronica Roth. This book you can not put down. I read it so quickly. Great read.

Loved the series I absolutely love this book series it's so amazing and so heartbreaking. I love a good book about girl power!

Amazing Absolutely loved this book. It is so(!!!) much better than the movie.

I watched the movie first and then read the book. Loved the book better. It tells you more about each character. Once I started to read it I couldn't put it down. It's a great book to relax!

Amazing book. I recommend this to all of my students.

Great book series! She draws you into the lives of the characters.

Very good book! If you liked the Hunger Games, you'll like this book!

Super entertaining without being too complex. I love this type of book to relax!

Divergent is a novel based in a dystopian society (like the Hunger Games Trilogy) where citizens, at the age of 16, are tested to see if they are qualified to move from their faction (hometown containing people who think the same way, feel the same way, and do the same things) to a different faction. There are many factions: Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), Erudite (the intelligent), Abnegation (the selfless), and Candor (the honest). The individuals who do not fit into any factions are Divergent. Divergent people are told to hide their secret, because they are hunted after because they do not fit in. Tris, the main character, is captivating, and is the reason you won't stop reading. Page after page, the book becomes more compelling. Surprises and secrets lurk in every corner of this book. Luckily, it is a trilogy (again like the Hunger Games), so the adventure doesn't end. I would recommend this book to anyone from a strong reader who reads nonstop to a reluctant reader who has trouble finding books they like, because the story makes you feel the characters' emotions, and making you feel in their position. Overall, I rate it 5 stars because of its amazing characters, captivating setting, and compelling story.

This is the first book in an excellent series! I teach 7th grade and I read books like this so I can make recommendations to students. A great dystopian book for young adult readers!
