HATED this book. I've been reading a lot of young adult urban fantasy lately, lots of vampires and witches and angels, and this one looked promising with its mention of changelings. But wow . . . it was terrible! The storytelling is weak and ridiculous. The changeling factor was nothing more than one baby being switched for another. And because vampires, werewolves, and fairies have apparently been done to death already, this author chose to make her characters . . . trolls. Yes, trolls. But there is nothing really special about these people/trolls, nothing that sets them apart as needing to be trolls. It was just a far reaching attempt at being different. And it fails miserably. The story itself is full of inconsistent drivel, the characters are one dimensional and unlikeable, and it was a struggle to force myself to finish reading this.
