So true confession time. I went to Disney with my two young boys several years ago. The parks were busy and all a bustle and there a million things to see and do. My boys were beyond the stroller age and much beyond the ?baby on a leash? phase as well. I told them to stick close and not leave my side. Despite my warnings of dire consequences, one of the boys wandered off! I thought I was never going to find him. We had just moved and gotten new cell phones, so the boys didn't know the number yet and the park was packed beyond belief. To say that I was terrified was an understatement. Thankfully, Disney security deals with misplaced parents in the park on a daily basis and held my son in their first aid clinic until I was able to retrieve him. On the downside, my son is autistic and, at the time, rarely talked to anyone ? much less strangers. Despite him being almost 12 years old, they were unable to get any information out of him. He was a bit beyond pinning notes to his shirt, but that would have gotten lost anyway. Had I insisted that he keep my phone number in his pocket, he would have shut down the instant that a stranger started talking to him, completely forgetting it was there. Had someone gone through his pockets looking for identification, he would have gone into a fit of panic and screaming fits. I wish that I had a product like the TigTagz Personalized Identification Bracelets for Kids then. TigTagz Personalized Identification Bracelets for Kids comes in styles for boys and girls and can be customized with medical and allergy information that will be highlighted in red lettering and can be personalized with up to 3 lines of text ? so you can have multiple contacts listed (mom's cell and dad's cell or cell and home). If you prefer to get non-personalized TigTagz bracelets, you can write on them with a sharpie. TigTagz are tear proof, sweat proof and water-resistant so you don't have to worry about the TigTagz Personalized Identification Bracelets becoming unreadable. Additionally, your child can't remove the TigTagz Personalized Identification Bracelets without a pair of scissors, so you don't have to worry about the bracelet falling off either. TigTagz accepts Paypal as well, so paying for them is easy.
I love these they are great to use when you are out and about and you don't have to worry about your child taking them off cause you need a pair of scissors to remove it you can put yours or dads cell phone # on it and if your child would happen to get lost in the crowd they can go for help and they have a direct way to contact you to come and get your child
I'd love to try these out on my next First Grade Field Trip. The students wouldn't be able to play with them like they do with the lanyards they now wear. I love that they can't be removed. It would take me longer as the teacher to prepare for the field trip but well worth the time to avoid all of the distractions of the lanyards.
