Instant potatoes are so nasty. I would never make them again.

By far the best instant mashed potatoes, but still nothing like making them from scratch. If made correctly, you may not be able to tell the difference. I find altering the ingredients a little makes for a better dish.

I'll admit I have never been a fan of instant mashed potatoes. I always thought, is it really so hard to make your own mashed potatoes from scratch? My mom loves this brand, though, and I will say that as instant potatoes go, these are some of the best. I still prefer home made.

Tricky Taters, but they work. These are simple to make, and fairly cheap. But they are also easy to mess up. If you add too much liquids, its a mess and impossible to fix. If its too dry it tastes like paste. However - its eatable and my kids love mashed taters!

These are a passable replacement in a pinch, but what I use them for is adding into meatloaf. Gives a good texture and better than adding a ton of breadcrumbs.

This is part of my last minutes meals, easy and quick... Down side I never have it right, is like I always missing something.

cheap and easy. It's good as a stand alone quick fix when you dont have real potatoes to fix. Inexpensive and easy to make.

good for last minute For spuds in a box they work for last minute meals. Long shelf life though I prefer the single size bags

I hate to say this but my family prefers these potatoes over my "real" mashed potatoes. That says a lot about these! They are flavorful and hearty...along with being quick. Great to get on the table in a few quick minutes. I always have these on hand for those days we are running out the door after dinner.
