I have been using Angel Food for 3 years, AWSOME!!! Always very superior quality food products. I absolutly love the new after school boxes, perfect for hungrey 5 yr olds, and wonderful for the toddlers. Food stamps or cash, can be used.

Great food for the price and if we didn't /couldn't use something, we would pass along to someone else. the meat was great. a definite plus in hard economic times just hate they shut down- I miss the boxes we would get

I love Angel Food Ministries. I wish they could have stayed in business. It really helped a lot of people when months are tight. Some who made just bit too much for programs could find some relief using them. Like my mother. She's on disability and FS but she used them all the time. Although it wasn't name brand, they had some really good food. I really liked the holiday boxes. Everything you needed for a great meal.

I've used this program in the past and LOVED it. It was a great program. And I loved the fact that anyone could use it, rich , poor, etc. Sad that they closed down.

Sadly Angel Food Ministry shut down for good in Sept. 2011

Wonderful program! I had family members who were able to benefit from Angel food ministries...you pay a little something i'm thinking 75.00 or so and get lots of food! My family member had steak, corn on cob...potatoes, good food for a fraction of the cost at the grocery store.

Angel food ministries is a great program,I used to take some folks to pick up their orders and got one for myself as well.It is a major help for people with very tight budgets, you place your order, they give you a date to pick up and thats it,If your church or community doesnt have one get one in there!!

What a great program - lots of food (healthy) and ideas to prepare meals for any family. In this economy, very glad to see that this is available for all families!

I also have used Angelfood ministries and have been more than pleased. I am among the working poor that does not qualify for any of the programs out there because of my income, but some months are tight. It is nice to have a program like this that does not have any requirements. I have recommended it to many of my friends and family and they too use it as needed.

Although my family hasnot ordered Angel Food for awhile ,we have bought their food boxes in the past and was very pleased with the variety of food you get for the price, it was very afforadable for the quanity and quality of food you recieve.

I think I will now be looking into Angel Food, thank you!

This year is the first time I have use it but the program is amazing. Its good quality food for a good price delivered by friendly hands. And they take food stamps so it's a win win for everyone!

I wasn't quite sure where to put this but I thought with budgets getting tighter folks who haven't heard of it would like to know. Angle Food Ministries provides about a week's worth of food for a family of four, the cost of the basic box is $30.00 you get a variety of meat, frozen veggies, and side dishes including eggs and milk . The quality is very good and about the only thing we haven't much liked is the corn tortillas. The fresh fruit & veggie box is amazing, for another $20.00 you get a box containting everything from onions and celery to melons and pineapple. The menu changes each month. We've been getting both boxes for about 6 months now and have never come home with even a piece of questionable fruit or a dented can. Additionally... you don't have to fit into a certian income bracket to qualify... their motto is "if you eat you qualify". Most sites are churches but I have yet to be pressured to attend a service. If you are looking for a way to maintain variety in your menus and keep costs low this is a great service to check out. The web site offers a listing of the menu as well as a link to find local distribution sites. Angelfoodministries.com

I love Angel Food Ministries. We have gotten food from them quite often. Our church has been a host site for several months so it is even more convenient. They offer several different "boxes" to choose from including a new one geared for nutritious after school snacks for the kids. These "boxes" have fruit, 100% juices and various snacks. They also have a chioce for seniors that consists of single meals (like a tv dinner) you can heat and eat. Everyone is welcome to participate without any limits. It is so great to not be judged on income or anything. Everyone is gracious and often times the host site volunteers will help you load your car. You get a great selection of food for about 1/3 the cost of grocery store prices. They also include a paper with recipe ideas and a menu for the next month. Also, they take Food Stamps! No questions asked. No pressure!! I have recommended this to several people and will continue to do so.

My husband and I own a trucking company that was contracted to haul the food from state to state. Upon backing up to get closer to the church door my husband ripped off the mudflap on our truck($400 to fix) The people @ Angel Food Ministries took up a collection and offered it 2 my husband to fix our truck. My husband politely refused the money, but I thought it was amazing that these people are so thoughtful and caring. Just proof that good people still exist in this world. Angel Food Ministries and there message is inspiring
