In recent weeks, the new judge of The Voice has stirred controversy over her decision to stop wearing make-up, saying "I don't want to cover up anymore. Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing."

What do you think - is this ground-breaking, or no big deal? If you wear make-up, would you ever go without?

I'm glad Alicia Keys is causing a controversy. I'm a woman who chooses not to wear makeup except for special occasions, and even then I just do the bare minimum. I have nothing against those that go all out and wear makeup everyday. I literally have no time in the mornings and to me getting up early is taking away from my beauty rest and preparing breakfast for my family. I think I'm beautiful regardless if I wear makeup or not.

I don't think that not using make up would be the same experience for me. I "cover up" because I love playing with make up, i like how it transforms me, and I don't see anything wrong with it :). That being said, I love Alicia Keys and respect her decision!

I think it's a huge shame that this is even a topic of conversation. Why does anyone care whether or not someone wears makeup? If she feels comfortable not wearing makeup then she should do what works best for her. I think we should all feel so comfortable in our skin to wear or not wear makeup.

I go without makeup a lot, but to go to a big event like that without takes courage - and that's true because she got so much flack! Ridiculous. As for me, I think she looks more real and beautiful without the makeup.

I think she looks pretty- I also feel like it's not a big deal at all. If I said I don't want to cover up my hair anymore by wearing a hat so people can definitely tell I'm a girl is it any different of a topic?

It is no big deal to me because I don't wear makeup. I think more celebs should NOT wear makeup. Alicia looks beautiful with and without. I don't understand why it's like a big deal.
