5 Simple Ways to Stay Consistent With Your Goals All Year Long

Setting goals is easy. Staying consistent is the challenge. Below are five simple ways to stay on track all year. PLUS keep reading for a chance to win a Papier planner of your choice ($50 value).

1. Write It Down Where You’ll See It

Clarity creates follow-through.

Try this:
Use a small notebook or planner and dedicate one page per goal. Write the goal at the top and list 3–5 simple actions underneath.

Example:
Goal: Prioritize my well-being
  • Take a 10-minute walk daily
  • Create a weekly wind-down routine
  • Schedule one rest day each week
If it’s not visible, it’s easy to forget.

2. Make the Goal Smaller Than You Think

Big goals can feel overwhelming — and overwhelm leads to avoidance.

Try this:
Break goals into weekly non-negotiables. Ask: What’s the smallest action that still counts?
Small steps done consistently matter more than big plans done once.

3. Put It on Your Calendar

If it’s not scheduled, it’s optional.

Try this:
Block 15–30 minutes weekly for a “goal check-in” and treat it like a meeting you wouldn’t cancel.

4. Track Progress Simply

You don’t need a complex system — just visibility.

Try this:
Use a checklist, Notes app, or simple habit tracker. Each week, ask:
  • What did I complete?
  • What felt heavy?
  • What felt easy?
Awareness keeps momentum going.

5. Plan for Monthly Resets

Consistency doesn’t mean never falling off — it means knowing how to reset.

Try this:
Once a month, review what’s working, what’s not, and what needs adjusting. Progress isn’t linear, and that’s okay.
