At SheSpeaks, we've been inspired by so many women, both those we know personally and those we've never met. Here are just a few of them:
The woman who has positively influenced me is my mom, Ying Lo. She has taught me to never doubt my intuition and to go for what I love to do. She is the reason I am 100% my unapologetic self and strive to do more with my life. - Gaonou
Aside from being an amazing author, J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter) faced a lot of rejection and persevered to see her vision come to life. She gives back generously, speaks her mind and holds true to her beliefs. - Stephanie
She was an amazing woman who grew up in a time with gender role expectations, yet went on to receive her Master's and start various organizations, including women’s organizations. She was incredibly wise and always gave the best advice. - Melissa
When my oldest son was born, I met a group of amazing new moms. We started going out to dinner once a month and we haven't stopped for more than twelve years. These women have inspired me to be a better mom and a stronger person. They also taught me how important it is to support other women - and find women who support you. - Susan
Serena Williams is more than just an incredible tennis player. She also uses her platform for good and has become a great role model for all, but especially girls, sisters and now moms. Her passion for excellence is inspring. I love her new Nike video that says it all. - Carol

My daughter and mother are my inspiration.
My Grandmother! She was an amazing person, I miss her so very much! She sacrifice so much for me. I lived with her while growing up and she was a wonderful example in everything she did !
my mom always helps me, takes good care of me and gives good advices.
My mom because she is a good hearted woman and always there for others
My mom and other amazing women that made great accomplishments.
My mother inspired me. By the age of 21 she had 3 small children. She vwas abandoned by my father before the birth of her 3rd child. This all occurred in the early 1960's, when divorce was rare & a working single woman even rarer. She had always dreamed of being a nurse & she pursued that dream while bearing the heartaches & shame she was experiencing. She worked & put herself through nursing school & graduated with honors. She went on to raise us 3 & instill in us her strength & determination to never give up on our dreams, no matter how impossible it may seem.
My mother is the person to inspire me.
My mom because she is the best!
My mom and grandmother have had the most influence on me. I've also been lucky to have teachers who have impacted me.
My Mom and my best friend Aleisha. They are strong, brave and loving women in my life.
The form is not letting me submit my posted photo even though it is tagged correctly.
My mom gave me the gift of how to be a good person in this world and to be the best mom I am now.
My mom and grandma both play an important role in my upbringing. The values I hold dear, like hard work and faith, came from them. The principal who gave me my first teaching job was an amazing influence. She was so polished and professional, holding everyone (staff and students) to high standards, even though it was an inner-city school where many people would have given up. I didn't realize how much I learned from her until I moved to a different school.
My mom. She is an inspiration. She has had five brain surgery's and still gets up and mows the lawn. She might be missing half her skull bone, but she doesn't let it get her down.
My Grandma was a strong independent woman who taught me to always be my authentic self. She taught me the value of family, hard work and hobbies. I miss her dearly but cherish her memory and the advice she left me with.
