At SheSpeaks, we've been inspired by so many women, both those we know personally and those we've never met. Here are just a few of them:
The woman who has positively influenced me is my mom, Ying Lo. She has taught me to never doubt my intuition and to go for what I love to do. She is the reason I am 100% my unapologetic self and strive to do more with my life. - Gaonou
Aside from being an amazing author, J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter) faced a lot of rejection and persevered to see her vision come to life. She gives back generously, speaks her mind and holds true to her beliefs. - Stephanie
She was an amazing woman who grew up in a time with gender role expectations, yet went on to receive her Master's and start various organizations, including women’s organizations. She was incredibly wise and always gave the best advice. - Melissa
When my oldest son was born, I met a group of amazing new moms. We started going out to dinner once a month and we haven't stopped for more than twelve years. These women have inspired me to be a better mom and a stronger person. They also taught me how important it is to support other women - and find women who support you. - Susan
Serena Williams is more than just an incredible tennis player. She also uses her platform for good and has become a great role model for all, but especially girls, sisters and now moms. Her passion for excellence is inspring. I love her new Nike video that says it all. - Carol

My grandma was big in my life as a kid. She taught me how to make lemon pay
My Mommy. She taught me the meaning of the word Love and what a mother is truly supposed to be.
I forgot to put my daughter Elizabeth Banks age 10 now as my inspiration too. Shes only 10 and never gives up, has her own youtube channel, instagram and facebook of lizziesoawesome and is against bullying and teams up with many online and off line to help kids suffering bullying to move on and be encouraged. She is amazing and my little girl . i love her so much. Shes so smart and so inspirational.
My mom and sister inspire me. Doing cool crafts, making stuff, writing amazing stories. Working hard all the time. Anna Scribner, the girl who flips RV'S now and was almost homeless living out of her office at work. Dani Johnson who went from homeless to millionaire in less than 2 yrs. Oprah for her amazing talk shows and the gifts and stuff she gave to the people that came. Hillary Swank, who was raised poor in a white trash trailer park they say and lived on foodstamps, and now an amazing actress. The women of Hidden Figures, and how brave and smart they were. The Help, and the the lady who wrote the book for them. To all the women in the world, who ever thought they were too small in life to grow like a beautiful rose. Your out there. and God don't make no Junk. You are somebody, you are smart, kind, courageous, and a child of God. Do'nt ever lose your faith or give up. You are a dream waitng to dream.
My mom inspired me when I was younger, now that she has passed I'm happy to say my daughter inspires me!
My mother has inspired me from time to time
So many! Gloria Steinham, Cate Blanchett, Katharine Hepburn, Donna Tartt, Maya Angelou, Whoopi Goldberg, Daphne du Maurier, Ursula K Le Guin, my Mom, my Grandma Alice, my Great Grandma Myrtle, my sister (an AMAZING mother), I could keep going for days. We don't spend enough time tooting our own horns, ladies! Happy National Women's History Month!
Maya Angelou is an inspiration to me. She overcame so many hardships in life and did so with grace and courage. She wrote my favorite quote: ?I can be changed by what happens to me but I refuse to be reduced by it.? And that's exactly how she lived her life. Maya Angelou was a phenomenal woman!
My mom was a great influence on me. She taught me what love really is. And how to laugh!
My mom has inspired me for everything: how to care for my family, to be ambitious, to go for my dreams and happiness
One women that has influenced me throughout the years has been my Grandmother. She has been the rock in our family (along with my grandfather) providing my siblings and I with love, support, and stability in ways that our parents couldn't. I wouldn't trade any of my life experiences because all of the knowledge that I have gained from her will be something that I cherish and pass on to my children & grandchildren.
My mother in law!
My Mom and Grandmas. They are and were all strong women.
for sure my mom.she is alway's there in my time of need, and gives me strength to carry on.
