It's time to celebrate us! International Women's Day is March 8, which means it's the perfect moment to appreciate all the women who have come before us and what they have accomplished.

My Mom
The woman who has positively influenced me is my mom, Ying Lo. She has taught me to never doubt my intuition and to go for what I love to do. She is the reason I am 100% my unapologetic self and strive to do more with my life. - Gaonou

Aside from being an amazing author, J.K. Rowling (Harry Potter) faced a lot of rejection and persevered to see her vision come to life. She gives back generously, speaks her mind and holds true to her beliefs. - Stephanie
My Grandmother
She was an amazing woman who grew up in a time with gender role expectations, yet went on to receive her Master's and start various organizations, including women’s organizations. She was incredibly wise and always gave the best advice. - Melissa
My Mom's Group
When my oldest son was born, I met a group of amazing new moms. We started going out to dinner once a month and we haven't stopped for more than twelve years. These women have inspired me to be a better mom and a stronger person. They also taught me how important it is to support other women - and find women who support you. - Susan
Serena Williams
Serena Williams is more than just an incredible tennis player. She also uses her platform for good and has become a great role model for all, but especially girls, sisters and now moms. Her passion for excellence is inspring. I love her new Nike video that says it all. - Carol

My mom has always been an inspiration to me. She wasn't famous nor did she do anything to change the world. She was a stay-at-home mom to 3 daughters in the 70s and 80s. Growing up, we had little money, but we never knew it; we always had the necessities. Mom always made sure the bills were paid, we had food on the table and we always got that one thing we had our hearts set on for Christmas or birthdays. She passed away almost 5 years ago now and I miss her so much.

My grandmother and my mom are my heroes!! They are the total example of how to be a strong yet kind person. They both taught me how to love and how to forgive. My grandma lived to be 101 years old and my mom is now 86 years old. I'm hoping to have many more years with my mom.
