Join us on Thursday, October 12 at 2 p.m. Eastern for the #SupportFreshStart Twitter Party to celebrate the work that Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter does and raise awareness of domestic violence.
Domestic violence does not discriminate. Individuals from all walks of life, backgrounds, and socio-economic statuses can be a victim. One in three US women will be a victim of domestic abuse by an intimate partner during her lifetime.
More women than you may realize are victims of domestic violence. It doesn’t just affect adults, domestic violence can cause lifelong emotional pain and suffering for children too.
That is why we are very proud to partner with a local women’s shelter to help raise awareness about domestic violence. We are partnering with the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter on their Fresh START event. Fresh START is the shelter’s signature fundraising event and is centered on an auction of works from regionally renowned professional artists and artisans and art pieces donated by women from our in-shelter art program. The event is sponsored by Mars (Mars Chocolate brands include M&Ms, one of our chat prizes!).
