We try to finish our back to school shopping, no later than half-way through August (school starts Sept. 1st). That way we beat the crowd doing the last minute rush and we can just relax those final couple of weeks.

My daughter is excited about school the week BEFORE it starts! I take advantage of this by picking out the first-week outfits then. I bundle them together with a bright ribbon and we don't have to add the layer of picking out clothes to the already hectic time of getting back into the school routine. Additionally, it's like a little gift every morning when she can "unwrap" the outfit.
