There have been hints of a comeback in recent years but now it is official. The 1980's is the lastest fashion trend.
Yes, the 80's are back - think shoulder pads, leg warmers and Madonna cassette tapes. But whether you lived through it before, or you were not around to be a witness, there are several ways you can get into the style, without going over the top. Read on to find out how.
Plus, tell us your favorite - or least favorite - '80s look and you'll have the chance to win an '80s Candy Gift Box, full of delicious retro memories, including Bottle Caps, Lemonheads & Wax Fangs!
Demin jackets, especially acid washed, were all the rage. And to make them even more personal, they were lovingly decorated with patches and spray paint. Luckily, personal style is also big in 2017. Feel free to rock your denim jacket - and even add a little bling.
Leggings are fine, but not the kind that has a strap that slips beneath your foot. No reason for your pants to get tucked in to your high-tops anymore.
In the '80s, brighter was better. It was important to attract attention and make a statement. We should follow that direction and not be afraid to shine! But this year, try keeping it to just one piece, and not the entire outfit.
Everything was more intense in the '80s, so it's no surprise that the make-up was too, especially the eye shadow which came in shades of blue, purple and pink - sometimes all of those colors at once. Brightly colored make-up is still used now, which is great, but this time it could be a little more blended and a lot more subtle.
Back then, we cut sweatshirts at just the right width, so that it could drape over one shoulder. Of course, a ton of plastic jewelry was then the perfect accessory. You can still wear dresses and shirts that have a fun off-the-shoulder look. Just try to avoid scissor marks and that mountain of jelly bracelets.
No explanation needed.

I love the off the shoulder tops. There's something about the shoulders that's both innocent yet sexy.
This is a great giveaway for those of use who where teens in the 80's. Thanks for the opportunity to revisit one of the greatest times of my life. My favorite was the customized denim jacket. I spend years finding the rock patches to put on mine and while it doesn't fit anymore I still cannot bear to part with it. It resides in my closed next to my girl scout vest with all my pins and patches. We had some of the greatest hair bands of all times and I think I got to see the vast majority of them in concert. I cannot afford the price of concert tickets now, but this year has show how the eighties are returning when you see all the bands from then that are touring again. LOVE LOVE LOVE the 80's. Hair and clothes not so much.
I love the off the shoulder look. It feels so relaxed and carefree.
I'm down for none of the above except the music...I still listen to it and won't ever stop!
The denim jacket and neon colors don't think they ever go out of style
I like the denim jackets and off the shoulder tops!
I really liked the denim jackets. Stir up pants were good to help with the look as long as the right shoes were worn. lol- But I really hope that shoulder pads do not come back.
I have been wearing my Jean jacket with patches on it since 2002 !
I think back to that time and cringe lol. I did like the stirup pants and the way we tucked n folded our pants, i still do that!
I loved stirrup pants. My pants never came out of my boots! And I loved the makeup - so colorful!
I love the off the shoulder tops but please no big hair!
Shoulder pads, sequence, leggings and big hair. Loved them all!!
Big hair and shoulder pads were awful - of course I'm tiny (I wear kids size clothing) so anything big just makes me look even smaller but I love denim jackets and have never stopped wearing them
Denim jackets and clogs!
I absolutely love the 80s! A few years ago I even had a neon themed birthday party where everyone dressed in neon. It was so fun! I will definitely stay away from big hair and bold makeup.
