My mother as a single mother she sacrificed endlessly for us. I was in a bad car accident and not long after found myself divorced after 17 years together (I'm only 35) due to him being unfaithful so I am disabled, going through multiple procedures, cognitive therapy, and fighting depression but my mom was the one person that was there for me. 3 weeks ago I almost lost her. She went in for a same day surgery to have the 2nd half of her thyroid removed. They decided to keep her and thank god they did overnight her neck blew up and she was rushed into emergency surgery to save airway. She was intubated and transferred to the Trauma ICU on a ventilator. I don't know what I would do without her as she is all I have. So it would be awesome to be able to honor her. Myself. I raised 2 amazing kids who are now adults and did it alone with no help or support from my husband who I got rid of. I have several chronic illnesses made it through open heart surgery need new knees and have fybromyalgia but I'm still here! My son has Lupus diagnosed at 17 my daughter had a tumor like the one in my heart in her arm at 20, scars and all she's an amazing woman wife and mother who works helping others at U of M hospital.
