As the dog days of summer weigh heavily upon us, we feel the need to celebrate our pets! And if you don’t have a dog or cat, relish in the cuteness of everyone else’s. Possibly the best thing about the internet is all the different ways we can find cute pet videos and pics - so we’ve compiled a few of our favorite adorable animal sites to wile away those sultry summer days.

Everyone knows that Reddit is chock full of cute pet pics, but possibly the best most fruitful subreddit for this sort of thing is /r/aww! Check out this dog that knows just how to cool off in the summer heat - with ice cream of course!:

Tumblr is also a great way to get that dog and cat pic fix. There are tons to choose from, but we all know that no one can resist a well-dressed pet. The Tumblr Well Dressed Animals will satisfy your yen and this dog all decked out in hat and scarf is pretty darn cute.

Ever wonder what your album covers might look like if the humans on them were replaced with adorable cats? Well, have we got a Tumblr for you! The Kitten Covers has it all from The Psychedelic Furs (get it!) to Donovan, music and cat lovers will be pleased. Check out “Kittle Richard”:

And when in doubt, it’s always a safe bet to turn to the tried and true YouTube. When it comes to pet videos and compilations that will have you oohing, ahhing and giggling for hours, they definitely have you covered. Just make sure to clear your schedule before firing up the cute animal videos, you may be here for a while.

Another site that boasts an insane amount of cuteness and will brighten your day is dogwork.com. The site allows you to either choose from popular dog and cat videos or randomize your videos one click at a time. And if you want to take your cute pet stalking to the next level, the site even allows you to browse through pictures and descriptions of pets that are currently up for adoption in your area.
