Taylor Swift and Shake it Off!!
Meghan Trainor "All About That Bass" is my favorite of the five, but knowing T.Swift's record, "Shake It Off" will win the Record of the Year.
I've heard all of the five songs nominated. They each have their merit. I think Taylor Swift's Shake it Off has a good message to not let what other people say about you to affect you too greatly and to just live your life as you see fit. All About That Bass has a positive message about body image, though a bit too sexualized and slightly derogatory towards slender women.
They each have their merit. Sam Smith's Stay With Me song has been controversial as it is similar to Tom Petty's I Won't Back Down, so much so that it has to pay loyalties to it. Sia gets high marks from artists and critics, however, to some it sounds as if she is saying she wants to swing from the Champs Elyees instead of the chandelier. Fancy is just okay to me; nothing special; just a sassy little girl trying to rap. Of the five, I like Shake it Off and All About That Bass the most. However, Taylor Swift has the best chance of winning as she is a Grammy sweetheart and has won tons of them already and the newest album, 1989, has some really great songs on it, including Shake it Off. Meghan Trainer's full album was released just last month so not as many people has been exposed to her music for long. So I think Swift will win it.
