After the first rainfall, the dew on the crisp leaves is how I know fall has begun. I never pay much attention to my decor. I'm too busy curled up next to a window with a good book and a chai tea, where I can see autumn in all it's beautiful glory!

Autumn is my absolute FAVORITE season! The aromas of coffee, caramel, pumpkin pie, apple cider, and fresh cranberry pear compote really make it feel like that time of year.

I love the smell of the air! You can tell the season is changing by the crispness. There seems to be a calmness. You're not sweltering in heat, not freezing in snow, and not drenched in return rain. I also love pumpkin and cinnamon scents in the fall. It reminds me of everything family! I change my home decor by switching candles, adding some fall place mats, hanging harvest wreaths, pumpkins on the porch, and putting summer toys away. Family time and hot chocolate with marshmallows!
