Who doesn't love summer, a time when you can visit somewhere you've never been, or even go to a place you've been over and over, and spend quality time with your family, partner or good friends. Whether it be for a weekend getaway, a week, or two weeks, it's important to make every moment count so you can create everlasting memories. And we have an exciting giveaway* to help you get there in style!
We know you're busy, so we turned to 4 savvy bloggers for suggestions on where to vacation this summer. Their suggestions ranged from traveling local to Sanibel, FL or Beaufort, SC to jetsetting off to Mexico or simply taking a staycation in your hometown. Here's what they had to say.
Paula Schmitt, This Girl Travels
"I love summer. The kids are out of school, the days are long and lazy, the sun is shining and the air is warmer begging for family travel. One of my favorite travel destinations by far is to the beautiful state of Florida, the Sunshine State. From sandy white beaches to vibrant coral reefs, the ocean is always calling. Families can enjoy anything and everything from shell collecting in Sanibel to meeting astronauts at the Kennedy Space Center. And let's not forget theme parks. Florida has some of the biggest and best, including Disney."
Samantha Feuss, Have Sippy Will Travel
"If you are looking for a quiet spot to spend time as a family, but with plenty to see & do, take a gander at Beaufort, South Carolina. This sleepy town is so picturesque that Hollywood has used it as the backdrop for such films as “The Prince Of Tides” and “Forest Gump”, and while there are many lovely cafes, bakeries, chocolateries, coffee shops, and restaurants in the district, you won’t find a Starbucks or a McDonalds in town."
Zippy Sandler, Champagne Living
"I love looking for off-season bargains when traveling. There's nothing like getting luxury accommodations for a fraction of the cost, so my recommendation would be to visit a wonderful all-inclusive resort in Playa del Carmen or Cancun. My favorite is the 5-diamond Grand Velas Riviera Maya. Families can stay in the Ambassador Class with access to the ocean, pools, a kids and teens club, and luxury that you can't find anyplace else. With all of the food, activities, and entertainment included (even alcohol for the adults) it's an easy vacation that allows alone time for mom and dad while the kids play with new friends under watchful eyes."
Melissa Chapman,The Staten Island Family
"I am a TOTAL staycation kind of girl. I love the idea of playing tourist in my backyard - which just so happens to be the greatest city in the world- NYC. And while we live in NYC, we are on Staten Island, which requires a ferry ride or a trip over the bridge to get to the bright lights and big city of Manhattan. So I am always looking for great NYC hotels that will allow us to drive in, park our car and stay overnight, so that we can take in all the sights and sounds without for a solid 24 hours with no distractions. The bonus is when I can bring our dogs along- so I am all about pet friendly accommodations."

My favorite thing to do during the summer is go to our local park and play with my dog and family. We also have a small picnic. Just simple things like that are so much fun to me.
Laying on a beach, catching up on my reading. A pool will suffice.
on a spring morning, sitting under the trees. I listening to the birds sing there songs, sound of laughter. little hands playing in the sand. time slips by. I'll remember you as life unfolds. in every day I wake up. live your dream of every passion. keep you safe throughout your days. walk with goals and visions live your dream of every passion. stop alone the way to smell the flowers . walk with her, hold her up when she stumbles. keep her safe , give her strength to find her dreams hold her hand as she walks on the sand. I'll remember you on a warm spring day.
I love lounging at the pool, reading, and enjoying the warm weather and sunshine. Also like floating with my noodle!
I love to go white-water rafting and horseback riding. We also enjoy trips to the beautiful Oregon coast.
Vacation in Fort Lauderdale, FL. While it can be hot, humid and rain in the afternoons, it's nice because it's off season, so the beaches and restaurants are not that crowded. Plus, the heat isn't so bad if you're lounging by the pool, or walking along the beach.
My favorite things to do in the summer is travel. I like to take my family to the beach, theme parks, zoos, etc.
For us summer means a lot of adventures. We always go to the beach as well as amusement parks, waterparks and of course visits to our camp. Anything to be outdoors works for us.
