I do the cleaning by myself , but a little at a time so it does not get to overwelming
Mom and I put our cleaning aprons on and tackle the windows first, it's amazing how much grime has built up in a couple of months! There's a lot to clean, especially the grooves of our sliding doors, and the ledges. Hubs actually makes a huge mess because he is a pack rat and likes to keep a lot of things all over the house for his workshop. It's annoying but when I need something fixed he always has the part! I hate cleaning the kitchen area because there's so much to do, and always seems endless!
Husband and dogs are the slobs. I am the grime tackler.
Everyone chips in and does their part!
I am on my own cleaning - I don't enjoy it but it feels great when it's done. Now if only the weather would feel like spring!
My hubby and i start at the basement and work our way up.
I start with the closets, then I go from room to room...one at a time...from top to bottm. DONE!
I make it into a week long venture to get those things that I just don't have the time for nornally. Such as blinds, baseboards, light fixtures, fan blades, cupboards and oven, as well as getting out the lighter bedding in preparation for warmer evenings.
we clean as a family and mess as a family!
I try to disperse the cleaning throughout the week, month and year so that it doesn't get overwhelming. Sometimes when I get overwhelmed I get under-motivated :/ I'm trying to teach my children the value of a clean and orderly house, but there are times, actually most times, where they just do not care. My husband has to be the biggest culprit for messes though.... And it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks....
bathrooms are my least favorite rooms to clean.
I clean every room from floor to ceiling in April. I clean out closets, desks and dressers. I scrub floors, walls and windows. I do it...by myself. My family of six could and should help, but they complain and complicate the process so much, I opt to go it alone.
I make it a whole family event over a weekend--each of us have a check list of about 10/15 items
My son contributes to most of my cleaning & my least fun favorite place to clean is the bathroom.
