Since I'm not a fan of the cold, I try to make my look warmer and my eyes pop. I put a gold tone eye shadow in the inner corners of my eyes. It also helps hide tired eyes. I apply a nude lip moisturizer to help keep my lips from chapping numerous times throughout the day, and finish the look with either a side braid or a messy up-do instead of wasting my time curling or using a flat iron only to have it get damp from the snow and ruined :)
I love to use Bare Minerals Glimmer True Gold eye shadow for the holidays and throughout the year. I first apply a primer on my eyelid. Then I apply a light color, like a beige all over my eyelid. Then I apply a brown color in the crease from the middle of my eye to the corner and slightly wrap it around just slightly on the lower lid by the eyelashes. Now the fun part. I apply the gold on the lower lid from the middle of the lid and blend towards the corner of my eye (towards your nose). Throughout the process, I continually blend just using my finger. I can't tell you how many compliments I get when I do my eyes in these colors. The gold just make everything pop. Try it. I think you will really love it. I have blue eyes and it always looks great.
I like to add a few extra bracelets, mixing and matching is fun and festive.
I usually wear a very nice holiday shirt this year it was a grey shirt with black and grey shiny sequins black pants and boots ( I am just too short) but the nails where such a treat thanks to LIsa red (opi) with white and glitter green stripes! Looks so festive ...................makes me smile!
i love the holidays...it's the time of year i get to "go all out" sequins, great boots, new nail polish colors and make-up to match!! a girly girls' dream :)
i spice up my style this holiday by wearing bright sprakling christmas earrings it always grabs people attention
I love wearing my Christmas sweaters this time of year. I can wear them with slacks or even a nice pair of jeans. I also add my Christmas earrings just to give it a bit more zest. I will also add some eye shadow and just a hint of glitter. I get a lot of nice compliments so I guess it works well.
I add some shimmer to my nails and eye shadow. I also have some clothes with extra sparkle for the holidays. I love my sequin tank under the glitter sweater. I get so many compliments when I wear them together.
I posted a review of Covergirl Natureluxe foundation! It is amazing! Happy Holidays everyone!
I just made a new review on one of my favorite beauty products on the main page. I love Physician's Formula Mineral Glow Pearls Pressed Powder. It comes in 4 shades and works with about every skin tone. It makes your skin look soft and glowing. Perfect for Holiday parties.
During the holidays I usually put on my fancy stilettos with sparkles, my big diamond jewelry comes out, and depending on how fancy I wear a fancy red dress or some cute jeans with a sweater. I love wearing sparkly eye shadow if it's an evening party and my Victoria's Secret sparkly body lotion is a must.
I love adding sparkle hair sray to my hair before a holiday party. I highly recommend Jerome Russell B Wild Hair & Body Glitter Spray in Gold.
Last year I discovered Ulta's Metallic Gold Eyeliner. I put it in the corner of my eyes to accentuate them. I love this eyeliner and the little bit of glimmer is great. It lasts a long time and is a fun way to add some sparkle to your eyes.
I choose shimmery eye shadow in an array of colors for the basis of your makeup bling. Take it over the top with sparkly eye liner and false lashes. Or keep your makeup neutral and dust a shimmery highlighter over your cheekbones. Pop a bright, shiny red or burgundy lip to complete the look. I like to jazz up my hair with some sparkle. Adding a feathered headband, rhinestone clip, or jeweled comb instantly transforms your look for the party. Or strategically place a little hair tinsel for some added sparkle. Cutting-edge colors in purses or clutches are in this season, I like deep jewel tones that help me create unique holiday flair. Teal, burgundy, plum, and black are the go-to colors on the runway for winter. I have tried shimmery plum eye shadow, a burgundy fascinator, and a peacock clutch this season.
