Makes: 12 Cups
Description: A layered ice-cream cake that you can literally assemble in 5-minutes flat! The secret is boxed ice cream sandwiches and cool-whip...you just build it and top with crushed oreo cookies and freeze for an hour to set before serving!
Ingredients:
12
Frozen Ice Cream sandwiches
12-15
Oreo cookies (crushed)
16 oz
Cool Whip Topping
Instructions:
Line a cookie sheet with wax paper.
Combine Cool Whip and crushed Oreos by folding cookies into topping until well combined (this is the cakes "frosting").
Next, start assembling the first layer of ice cream sandwiches on your waxed cookie sheet by lining up 4 sandwiches in rows of 2's--keeping the sandwiches close together and even.
Cover the first layer with Oreo frosting completely covering top and sides.
Repeat the process on the next 2-layers (*covering each layer with frosting) to form a cake with 3-layers total.
Garnish the top of the cake with more crushed Oreos or halve the cookies and gently press flat side into top of cake if you prefer.
Once assembled you want to freeze for at least one hour before serving.
That's it! Super easy and quick, it tastes spectacular and looks impressive for a five minute dessert!
I love making fun and interesting desserts and Oreos are a family favorite!
A taste of berry goodness in every bite!
