Pumpkin-Shaped Cake for Halloween

Makes: 1 cake

Description: The pumpkin cake is a perfect finale to a Halloween dinner or dish to bring to a party. And the best part is it?s actually very easy to make. The pumpkin cake is actually created by putting two cakes made in a bundt pan together.

Ingredients:
2  Boxes Cake Mix (any flavor)
2  Bundt Cake pans
2  Cans Vanilla Frosting
1  Orange Food Coloring
1  Ice cream cone
1  Green dye
1  Can black piping or detailing frosting

Instructions: You can use a recipe from scratch to create your pumpkin shaped cake or you can use a store mix, both work fine. You can also create a traditional spice cake or whatever flavor you choose.
Once the cakes are baked and cooled completely, tip one upside down onto the serving platter and apply a liberal dose of orange colored frosting to what used to be the bottom of the cake. Again, you can make frosting yourself or use store bought frosting and dye it orange.
Take the second bundt cake and put it on top of the other cake, both ?bottoms? together and held in place with frosting. You?ll instantly see how pumpkin shaped your cakes have become.
Frost the entire cake with orange frosting. Use an ice cream cone inserted upside down in the cake hole for the stem. You can buy a precolored cone that is green or cover the cone with green frosting.

Finally, use a cake decorating tool to pipe dark brown or black frosting onto the face to transform your pumpkin shaped cake into a jack o?lantern cake.
