What is the biggest barrier to bringing guests into your kitchen?

The kitchen is the room where everyone ends up gathering at social events, so we always want the kitchen to be a pleasant place to be.  What drives you crazy about your kitchen?  Is it never quite clean enough?  Are your appliances old and outdated?  Are your counters a mess? 

What little things would you want to change about your kitchen to make you eager to bring guests there?  We want to know!

I'm embarrassed by my cluttered countertops (54.5%)

The style of my appliances is old and outdated (24.4%)

My appliances look bulky and take up too much space (11.8%)

My kitchen is filthy (9.3%)

    The more countertops you have the more crap you have on them!

    I have a huge kitchen, but no cabinet or counter space. I don't even have enough space for all my cookware!

    The design of my kitchen lacks counter space. With it being the first and last stop for us in and out, it just becomes heavily clutter.

    We live in a condo and the front door enters into the kitchen - so it is impossible to completely hide the view when you walk in. We have ample counter tops but no matter how hard I try it always appears cluttered. Probably because our shelf space if limited and full therefore everything spills out onto the counter tops.

    I have a very nice, modern kitchen. However, I just cannot seem to get organized and put stuff up!!! My counters always have mail, circulars, newspapers, etc., on them. I even bought a book about how to get organized, but sadly, still have the same problem!

    I never have enough counter space and everything is always cluttered.

    I have the smallest kitchen I bought a dishwasher brought it home and then had to take it back cause there just wasn't enought room
