While I enjoy the sensory experience of holiday shopping in stores, I like the organizational process of shopping on-line. I like having a record of what I bought, how much spent, and learning about special deals etc. I also like getting the catalogs in the mail from the on-line stores. I prefer sites that offer free shipping. I do believe that the brick and mortar small businesses should be supported so they can stay in business, plus they contribute to the local economy thru taxes, employing local people, etc. so I try to buy from at least 3 local businesses each month.
I love the mall. I never shopped online until we moved to a small town where the nearest 'mall' is 40 mins away and the nearest real mall is almost 1 1/2 hours away! I started shopping online our first Christmas here and now I am completely hooked! I can shop anytime online - no worries for weather, parking, crowds, if the item will be available when I get to the store. Just love it! At this point, I am pretty good at it - I am on a lot of email lists and receive coupon codes for online discounts and special or free shipping offers. I do still miss the atmosphere of the mall/stores so I have to give in and go sometimes, especially at the holidays to see the decorations.
I used to like shopping in stores until I had many people pushing their shopping carts into my pregnant belly without any remorse at all.
I enjoy shopping in general, so shopping around the holidays is even more fun! Shopping is like a form of therapy for me, I feel better after shopping, although I would feel a heck of a lot better if I had more money and didn't feel as guilty after the fact! I just hate the inconsiderate, rude people who push past you, as a mother I get very offended when someone neglects to notice that I have a child in a stroller, that yes may be at their knee level, but I expect that you wouldn't like me trampling all over your kids, or cutting you off, or walking in front of you!
There's nothing like being there in person. Feeing the material, looking for clearence, meeting new people.
It seems that during the Holidays, people become grouchy, and hateful. I am an easy-going person and I treat folks the way I want to be treated, nicely. You would think they would be nicer, since it is supposed to be a joyous Holiday, but, I guess the "rush" of time gets to them.
I prefer to shop online...it saves me time & all the aggrevation i get from being in a crowded store...grrr! Online shopping is very convenient, saves gas from not having to drive from store to store & it's delivered to my house without any hassles at all!
I like look a product before purchasing it, sometimes after seeing it, I will check online to see if I can get a better price.
I can't walk because I am disabled, so I hate to go and fight the crowds in the stores.
It really depends on the site. I always shop at Victoria's Secret online because I hate rummaging through all the picked overs in the store. You get a better selection online. Some store have a better clearance price than online like Old Navy
