Have you started to buy holiday gifts in order to take advantage of current pre-holiday sales?

You may have noticed that retailers like Sears and Kmart have put holiday shopping displays up early this year?  They are hoping to get a jump on holiday sales by enticing consumers with sales well in advance of the holiday shopping season.

Would you start buying holiday gifts early because of a sale?  Or do you find this early push for the holidays annoying?

Please tell us what you think. We want to know!

I'm 14. I don't really shop for christmas because everyone finds out like 5 months before christmas anyways. I try to hide them in my room but it never works so well. i always buy stuff in a discount price. What do you expect me to do with my little budget.

This early I try to keep my eye out for things that would make great stocking stuffers. The sales can be great in July and it can help out more than you realize come December when money is always tighter. I don't buy any large ticket item or main gift this early but I do start gathering ideas.

I have 4 children and onw on the way, and trying to shop for everyone at the last minute is too hard..... I love to be prepared early and avoid the major crazy rush.

Throughout the year when I come across things I know my family & friends would enjoy & like to have, I buy them & put them up for Christmas gifts. What I do find annoying though is when stores but all the Christmas decor out around Halloween & before Thanksgiving!! It makes me kind of stressed because I feel like I dont get a break, it's already here again!! Halloween is a fun holiday to decorate for too & Thanksgiving to me is an important holiday...Yes, We should give thanks everyday but unfortunately sometimes we need a day of Thanksgiving to remind us all to slow down & be thankful & quit taking everything for granted :o) I feel like Thanksgiving gets a little more skipped & forgotten with every year that goes by :o( <>;o)

I do my Christmas shopping after Thanksgiving. I like shopping when the stores are all decorated for the holidays.

August is the time of the year when there are sales everywhere and that is when I start my Christmas shopping, upcoming birthdays, and/or gifts for all other occasions.

I have 6 kids and it seems like the past few years it all hits us during the month of november, so this year I have started shoppings sales and clearance racks months ago. Definately will be less stressful this year.

I am going to start my shopping earlier this year. When I find I have extra money, I'll look for bargains and hopefully find something. This just happened to me on my drive down to Florda. I bought my first gift on the drive down.. The gift made it to and from Florida in one piece!

My mind is far from Christmas but when I go into a store and see something on clearance that I know my kids need for their college apartment or dorm, I pick it up and save the $$.
