It's a little scary knowing that there are voters out there voting for or against someone based on speculation and rumor... That is the oldest political trick in the book, and a lot of voters are falling for it instead of checking things out at a level deeper than propagandist talking points. Instead of falling victim to the latest smears, find out for yourself what is and isn't true, then try to figure out why certain things are being said. This goes for both sides. He's a muslim! She's burning books! Come on. You are all over 18 years old and have access to a computer. Do some research, from unbiased sites.

I agree with Choo choo...everyone has their own convictions, and I try and respect everyones point of view. I thank God we have the freedom to vote. I do not think we should be tearing down the other side.

I am going to vote for Obama.. I personally think that it was a ditch effort of macain to get people to vote for him...I have a hard time just getting intersted in this man as a person more or less a man who is representing our country... I think Palin will be a good senator but a VP with a possiblilty of taking over as President if something was to happen to Macain? I don't think so.. I wish that Al Gore would of run for President or at least VP with Obama..or visa versa

QUOTE///Sarah Palin is a pathetic excuse for a vice presidental candidate; she is extremely unexperienced and as a female, she disgraces me. She is a horrible role model for motherhood, leaving her five children, including one infant with special needs, to run for office. What kind of mother would do that?

I think his choice is insulting to women. She is obviously corrupt and unqualified, and it shows lack of judgement on McCain's part. Any thinking woman will not support McCain-Palin.QUOTE///

I agree with both of you!

Just because of her gender doesn't qualify her to be VP

It is usually the lesser of two evils we are voting for isn't it?? This time however, the choice is clear..

Obama is toooo hmm Something isn't right with him.. I don't trust him at all!

Sarah Palin of course we do not know much about her...but what she does have is character and strong morals that is a solid foundation at least!

ugh. no. palin is a complete moron...she would be an absolute disaster in international relations, and i just can't support people who make decisions based on emotions rather than rational thought...we've already had 8 years of that and look where it's gotten us!

    I agree with "catriley."

While I do agree that it's definitely time for a women in office ... Ms. Palin is the 'wrong' choice.

Her stance against abortion will set women back 30 years.

Even though I don't think I could never abort a child ... besides my husband, no one has the right to make that choice for me.

Her initiative to try to "band library books!" (In 2008, where in the hell did she come from?) Certainly no place where I want to be.

No one wants to admit it, but this race is going to come down to RACE. I think that a lot of white voters are terrified of the thought that a Black man (whether he is qualified or not) could be President of the USA. On Nov. 4, it will be hard for them to pull that lever and give him that chance. Colin Powell, with all of his experience, would face the "same" challenge. We've come along way since the 60's ... but 'there are miles to go before we rest.'

The Republicans have totally "screwed up" the last 8 years and they have the nerve to ask for 4 more? ... WAKE UP, EVERYBODY ... WE NEED A CHANGE!

I think that what Sen. McCain did was pure strategy to try and win the election.

Governor Palin is McCain's choice but certainly not mine, neither is McCain. I wish Obama had more experience, however, he will be my choice since Hillary did not get past the old boy's network.
