Spring is well underway and it seems like so many of us like to "brighten" our look after the long and dark winter! So, we were curious, just how many of us actually highlight our hair?
Whether you do it to cover grey, brighten up your own color or to completely change color, we were curious, do you color or highlight your hair? Why?
Yes- I usually do it myself with home hair color products (50.5%)
Yes- I usually go to a salon for a stylist to do (28.5%)
No- I do not color or highlight my hair (11.6%)
Not yet, but I'm thinking about it (9.3%)
I want to go a little darker I'm going to the salon next week to cut my hair for locks for love and I thought it might be nice to treat myself to a little color pick me up, especially since the salon I go to offers a free cut for donors.
I enjoy going to the salon, time alone for myself. I have tried to color my hair on my own, doesn't turn out as great, I will leave it to the professionals!
I color my hair myself. It costs me $2.50 every 3-4 months. It beats paying a professional and you get the same results. Follow the instructions carefully and you can't mess it up. That beats paying $30.00 any day : )
as awful as it usually looks i do it myself. you can usually find blond streeks here and there. oh well i cant complain. you get what you pay for lol
i do a lot better and it's a lot cheaper!!!
I always color my hair after I get a cut - with all the at home products available - I think the quality is just as good and the price is a whole lot better!
it is a lot cheaper and more convenient
As time goes on I too am finding it easier to just go pay to get it done. I can't even tell you the # of times I've tried to get my hair to lift to the right color blond. The store purchased colors just won't do it. There isn't enough chemical or something. So from now on I'm hitting the chair at the salon. I get a breif break at the same time too!
I dye my own hair. I'm pretty good at stuff like that. I've even done my own highlights, but I had to get the hubby to pull the hair through the little holes in the back of the cap (promised him I'd never tell that!) I've dyed friend's hair and my mom's, I've also cut hair for a few people too. If I wasn't good at it though I'd go to a salon.
yes I use home products and what salons don't tell you is that most of what they use is the same stuff you buy to do it with yourself. So why pay them to do it when I can do it a whole lot cheaper.
