A city vacation! Want my children to experience some of the cultural attractions not available where we live. Just need to be sure the pace is not too intense:)

We are doing something a bit unusual this year. We are flying to Memphis Tennessee and staying at the Peabody Hotel then taking a 7 night cruise down the mighty Mississippi to New Orleans for a couple of nights. Should be fun and we leave in 8 days so getting excited!!

my husband was laid off last year and we are just now recovering from that dip in the income. Will look forward to spending time with family close by and also taking advantage of camping close by.

We had hoped to do a 3 generation vacation in Glaciar Ntl Park but looks like we'll be staying around Chicago, camping locally and hitting 6 Flags/Great America instead. Thankfully we live in an extremely cool city! Though we love to explore and adventure in other states and countries too.
