A recent study suggested that an alarming 80% of women do not get enough calcium. Do you think you are getting enough calcium on a daily basis? Do you feel well educated on the importance of calcium for your health?
Please tell us what you think. We want to know!
Yes (71.8%)
No (28.2%)
I don't worry about it I eat what my body wants when I'm hungry and am perfectly healthy. There are better things to think about.
Yes, it does worry me because I know I don't always consume enough calcium rich products on a regular basis. I think supplements are in my future!
Yes, as I have MS and it's very important that I get enough
I am always conscience of teh foods I eat even though I am easily given to temptations!
YEA, I THINK WE ALL LIVE SUCH A FAST PACE LIFE, WE FORGET HOW IMPORTANT VITAMIN / CALCIUM ARE FOR US. UNTIL SOMETHING STOPS US IN ARE TRACKS. THEN WE THINK ABOUT IT. ITS LIKE JUST BEFORE WE FILL LIKE WE ARE GETTING SICK, WE HEAD FOR THE VITAMINS. NEVER TO LATE TO GET STARTED ON VITAMINS/ CALCIUM. AND A WELL BALANCE DIET.. :)
Yes, I am concerned. I don't drink alot of milk so I take a calcium tablet every day. I also get a little bit of calcium from a multivitamin that I take everyday. Even with these supplements, I think I am still not getting enough calcium.
I know I need to have daily calcium, but I'm not concerned about getting enough. I love milk...would rather have it than a soda sometimes! We also go through about 5 gallons of milk a week. We also eat a lot of cheese & yogurt. I think that the current concern about Vitamin D deficiency is manufactured. Unless you live in a cave and don't eat fortified food or drink milk AT ALL, I don't think there is anything to be concerned about.

Sorry that double-posted!!!
I am always concerned about how much calcium my body receives. I have not been able to drink milk since I had my oldest son. To supplement I eat a lot of dairy products, my doctor also suggested taking caltrate pills for calcium.
