If you voted for President Obama in 2008, would you still vote for him today?

Recently we polled SheSpeaks members on their perceptions of President Obama’s first year in office.  About 28% thought that he was doing a good job.  So, we were curious, if you voted for President Obama in the 2008 Presidential run, would you vote for him again?  Why or why not?

Please tell us what you think.  We want to know.

Yes (55.5%)

No (10.2%)

I did not vote for Obama (34.5%)

If you voted for President Obama in 2008, would you still vote for him today?

I voted for him because I believe that we need change. I believe that he is the President that can and will do that.

Many members bring up great points. I voted for Obama, and still stand behind him today. I feel that he brought much needed respect to the US. He came into office at a terrible time with many heavy concerns weighing on the country. While we as Americans tend to become impatient when immediate results do not incur, I feel that the progress we are making under his leadership and the ideas that are being brought to the table allow for growth and improvement in the long haul.

I did not vote for him and will not vote for him. i don' t think the country can handle the amount of money he is spending on programs for everyone. He wants everyone to have everything for free, but lets be real, someone has to pay for it. It will be us sameones as always upper middle class.

I did not vote for Obama and I still stand by my decision. He is not up holding the constitution like the president of the U.S should. He is trying to have more power than the president should have, as stated by the constitution.

I did not vote for Obama because I felt he lacked experience that I feel makes for a good leader and that he was created and promoted by celebs to help get him in office. However, I do think he is doing as good as anybody else could have done.

Abortion is evil. Not even the most vile criminals n our society are terminated in the same way. He supports it so I don't support him.

As I stated before President Obama cannot make the changes "alone". In these posts we are doing the same bickering that is going on between the poliitcal parties. When does it stop. I don't care who anyone voted for. We need to come together as a nation and help make these. Why are we called the "United States of America"?

I needed to add: We need to come together and make as a nation and help make these changes. We need to be united not only as states but as people.
