I do not notice any better in price lower. Of course, I am very careful what is in their ingredients first before I buy when they are on sale and cpns for cents off.
I think alot of store brands are name brands specially manufactured for private labels so they are essentially the same product without the expensive advertising. Not a store brand, but Suave has Professionals line of shampoo that supposedly is as good as Nexxus--I have Nexxus and the Suave and I would swear they are exactly the same! Same fragrance, same consistency, and same performance on my hair. I think store brands do the same thing, purchase the product from the original manufacturer that just wants to sell their product in a fancy can or a simple one.
I am sorry but I do not feel that store brands have changed much in quality. They have improved their marketing by pushing these to the front of the stores and improving their appearance. As for the quality of the ingredients, I have not noticed much difference. I do purchase these if they are for cooking and are cheaper than the name brand, otherwise I don't bother.
I love the Kroger brand peanut butter,it tastes just as good as other name brand onesand alot cheaper.
I think store brand have improved alot with the taste som e are very good i buy more store brand now in food but some things like bread i need name brand but i do buy more store brand and they have improved a lot in taste.
Having to cut back lately, I have purchased many store brands due to price. I have not been disappointed yet.
I have not brought any cereal that are store brands, however, I have tried other products such as the tomato sauce and I found that the store brand is much like the leading brand Prego. It is really delicious.
I can't get used to the taste of store brands. You can tell the difference when you compare. Some items came a long way as far as taste goes. But I would have to say that most of the items lack taste. I think that because your paying less, your getting less quality. With a coupon, your better off with popular brands from companies that are reliable.
I like the up and up brand from Target. They especially have good baby wipes.
I would put the store brand I purchase against most big name company brands just to prove to others that you're mainly paying for just the name. There still is the occassional "It's not as good as the other brand" moment though.
