No way Obama's plan will work! It's a great disadvantage to the elderly...which we will all be if we live long enough.

I personally think we need universal healthcare. I have a friend from Canada, and she said there is no wait. She can see a doctor at anytime. I also have friends from Europe and they don't have complaints either. I think people in this country are afraid of change. I think Doctors are overpaid. Longevity rates in the U.S. are dropping. Thats disgraceful. The most powerful country in the world can't keep its citizens alive. We need change.

It has been stated repeatedly that the cost will be covered by families with a combine income of a million dollars or more and individuals who make 250,000 or more. That is far from middle class. Some states already have forms of universal health care. I have public health care where I am from. And it has truly made a difference in my life. I went years without health care because I couldn't afford it anymore and ended up having a tragic accident. I am currently thousands of dollars in debt to the hospital because I couldn't afford health care at the time. Remember that this proposal is a public option plan. It will work for everyone, It will help everyone. And, it's working what this country was founded on, choice. whitehouse.org, go people. read it for yourself.

They are moving to fast without truly planning this out. Seems there is always another agenda behind the decisions that are "being made for us."

I don't want the government telling me or anyone else how they need to take care of themselves, medically speaking. President Obama says he wants to take care of everyone. Ha! Ha! What an absolute joke! He won't even visit the idea of Tort Reform because most of the jokers in Congress are lawyers! We will have socialized medicine, which is what this plan is, while those on Capitol Hill will enjoy a very generous health care plan not to mention an incredible retirement plan. ALL ON OUR BACKS!! They won't have to worry about, to paraphrase President Obama, if you are 76 years old maybe a pill would be a better solution for you instead of surgery. They will get all the health care they need and want. We have the best health care system in the WORLD! People from Canada come here because they are on waiting lists for all kinds of medical issues. Some life threatening. Want to wait 6 months for Chemo?! Then support President Obama's plan!

Everyone would, no doubt, hope this would work. However, doctors would be getting paid a flat rate to practice. Therefore, quality would decrease signifigantly.
