You may have noticed that retailers like Sears and Kmart have put holiday shopping displays up early this year?  They are hoping to get a jump on holiday sales by enticing consumers with sales well in advance of the holiday shopping season.

Would you start buying holiday gifts early because of a sale?  Or do you find this early push for the holidays annoying?

Please tell us what you think. We want to know!

Generally, the shopping I do around the holidays tends to be food-related as it is mostly for the spreads we host for our families. Presents are easy: cash. That's what my cousins prefer, that or gift cards. For my parents, we might run to the mall early one weekend.

I've bought gifts in the summer months for employees at my previous employer and were stuck with them as I was laid off in November. However, I kept them because christmas is coming around again. And someone else can use them. I do love a sale and if it's a good one. I'm there.

I have already started buying for Christmas-but I am not as far along as I wish I was-LOL. This time last year I was practically finished, but this year for some reason (money?), I just can't seem to get into the shopping mode.

Every year I say I am going to start earlier, but I never do. I much rather wait until I am in the holiday spirit. Besides, I don't have the room to store extra stuff.

I wish they didn't push it already as it is already too commercial. I buy when I see something that just fits one of the people I shop for and especially is it is a good deal. I try to start this time of year just so it isn't so much at once. I plan to cut back again because money just isn't there.

I'm always on the lookout for great deals and steals all year round. That way, I'm never stressed out by holiday shopping as it's almost always done before december rolls around! Great deals mean I can afford more gifts with the same budget than if I left all my shopping till the holidays.

I take advantage of oppurtunities to purchase items all year long that my family voice a desire for so that I can provide a wonderful Christmas without feeling that sense of being overwhelmed during the holiday season. (finanially and emotionally)

I will buy items early, but only because I like the item and it's a good price. I detest seeing items in stores so early, and I will avoid purchasing holiday items from those stores as a matter of principle. I'll celebrate the holidays when I'm ready, but while I might be willing to purchase an individual purchase or two, I don't want my holidays accelerated like they're being forced to. Ick!

I'll probably start seriously thinking about holiday shopping in September.
