We use honey for sore throats and sweetening tea. I know you can use it in place of sugar but have no idea what the ratios would be so I'd love exploring how to do it.

I love honey and I hope we get to enjoy it forever. Unfortunately, the world's honey bees are in decline!! I would love to see more information on how consumers can help.

For a sore throat I like honey and lemon in hot water. My mom always used to give it to us as kids, I think the lemon just adds some flavor and vitamin c. Honey also tastes better in chamomile tea than sugar. I also like to mix honey into plain greek yogurt for breakfast. Fage also has these handy single serve yogurts that have honey to mix in, they are great!

We attempt to eat nothing processed, and we only use honey for sweetening. In moderation, it is very healthy, and when eating a truly whole foods diet, there is no need to worry about the caloric intake. We only use RAW honey. According to Natural Health ezine, raw honey contains 27 minerals, 22 amino acids and 5,000 live enzymes. It keeps you healthy by fighting disease and boosting the digestive system. (http://www.naturalhealthezine.com/what-are-the-health-benefits-of-raw-honey/) That makes it a wonderful SUPERFOOD!

That meant, we use nothing but honey for sweetening. We also use it in coffee, plain on a spoon, on bread, on cuts or other wounds, in soap, and looking at facial cleansing formulas that use honey.

A few years ago I also cut back on my sugar and started using more honey as a sweet substitute. I now buy plain yogurt add berries, a few walnuts and honey. It is delicious and not loaded with sugar! We have always put honey in hot tea to soothe a sore throat. And we put it in home made salad dressings. Just a dash will satisfy!

I put honey in breads and muffins when I bake. Rasins or banannas, a little honey and oats....healthy and sweet enough that you don't miss the sugar. I put it in my coffee too sometimes, with creamer you don't even notice that it isn't sugar making the coffee sweeter. I'm told that you can put a little honey on a light cut too and it helps the healing process, I'm sure it can't hurt if it's minor.

I'm not a fan of honey. It tastes bitter to me. But if it were for a worthy cause to help people of the USA I would consider buying it.
