How much time do you take for yourself to get ready (dressed, hair, makeup and jewelry) in the morning?

When you consider this question for yourself, you may think "in comparison to" who or when? For example, remember how long it took your mom to do her hair and make-up before she took you to school all those years ago (and wasn't a re-application of lipstick a must before entering the grocery store?). Another comparison point might depend on whether or not you were in an urban, suburban or rural setting. City-living women tend to prioritize outward appearance a bit more, as they've got a lot of inspiration for looking their absolute best on those bustling sidewalks.

I'm in the low maintenance morning prep category myself. Since I work from home, the main thing to accomplish is getting dressed and having breakfast in a timely manner so my dog and I can get a good morning, pre-work walk in. By getting an easier "wash & wear" haircut, taking showers at night, and so on, I think I've got it down.

How are things different for today's women? As you've gotten older, become a mom or just gained comfort in your natural "look," how has your morning routine changed?

1-19 mins|I'm low maintenance. I have to be. (27.8%)

20-30 mins|I like feeling like I'm starting the day on the right track. (41.5%)

31 to 60 mins|I give extra time to my hair and makeup, because "I'm worth it." (28.2%)

More than 60 mins|I may be going off the deep end, but I really enjoy my morning ritual. (2.5%)

I only take 15 minutes, yet still dress stylish. I don't like to spend too much time getting ready.

IN THE MORNING IT TAKES ME ABOUT HALF AN HOUR TO GET READY. I HAVE ONLY ONE BATHROOM AND EVERY BODY WANTS TO GET IN THE BATHROOM. I WAKE UP AN HOUR BEFORE EVERY BODY ELSE DOES AND WHILE THEY ARE EATING THEIR BREAKFAST I AM GETTING READY.

You get out what you put into something. Confidence comes with looking/feeling good. Hot heels, skinny jeans, baby T, bronzer, mascara, and lip gloss and I am unstopable!

On weekdays it takes me about a 1/2 hour to get ready for work. The nights I go out to the clubs/bars, and to hang out with friends, it takes me at least an hour to get completely pampered!!

My Fiance bought me a vanity for my bday this year, I asked for it for christmas 2 years ago, a little slow but I cant compalin, He tries his best, But I have only used it once. I have to be the wash and wear type of lady because we are so busy with racing and riding harleys and fishing, and playing with our grandkids, that there is no time for pampering.

With being at a dirt track the dust the cars put out stick to my face if i have makeup on, not a pretty picture, and wearing a helmet gives u helmet hair,no reason to fuss with it, and the boat blowing my hair around when we are fishing, also not a pretty picture, But I wouldnt want it any other way!

I don't do anything to my hair, just wash, then brush and let it air dry. It is so straight it wouldn't hold a curl for nothing! Then I just put my face (make-up...that what I call it...LOL) on....and it takes about 20 mins. tops.

It takes me about an hour or so, because we only have one bathroom and there is four of us that need it. I also get up a little eariler so i'm the first one in shower and have hot water. LOL Besides i only blow dry my hair part way and let the rest dry naturally, that way i don't end up being a frizz head.....LOL Then it is off to curling my hair and final touches and off i go....

I am surprised at how little time this survey says it takes women to get ready. Either I need some tips, or a lot of women are not putting themselves first!
