"Organic" has become quite the buzzword in the past few years! Do you purchase organic food? If so, how frequently?

I occasionally purchase organic food (42.2%)

I purchase organic foods as much as possible (28.4%)

I don't purchase organic food but am open to it (22.7%)

I don't purchase organic food and am not interested (6.7%)

    I'd love to purchase organic foods more often because besides being better for the environment they taste better. Unfortuately, cost is a problem for me right now.

    I would love to purchase organic food but it's very expensive and hard to find.

    I not only look for organic but locally grown foods. I think there needs to be a change in how we purchase/grow our food. I really want to start concentrating on local meat (grass fed, free range, etc) but this is a bit more difficult. If you watch any of the documentaries on how our food is grown, it will change how you buy food!

    I love the idea of organic, but let's be realistic- it's expensive. I am just as concerned as the next person about my kids' health and well-being, so we pick and choose what we think are the most important organic items to buy.

    I purchase organic food when the cost is competitive. With this economy, I have to watch my food budget closely.

    I prefer organic, but like many of the others said it is more costly. times are hard now and I need to watch what I spend. So I wash my fresh produce and hope I'm getting the pesticides off.

    I try to purchase organic when I can, and wish I could more often, the only problem is that not all stores carry that variety and it can be pricey!

    I don't go out of my way to purchase organic. I do have a large garden and that helps with cost and freshness. Right now the focus is on cost and I find most organic items are more expensive, I like the idea of keeping things organic but it's not always possible especially when we are down to one income.

    Organic foods are bit more expensive but worth the price for the health benefits you gain. I plant a vegetable garden and buy organic as much as I can.
