Have you ever been to New Orleans?

New Orleans has been partying since the Saints won the Superbowl.   The spirit of Mardi Gras helped unite the city after Hurricaine Katrina five years ago.  Have you ever been to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, or another holiday? Do you celebrate Fat Tuesday in your hometown?  Please tell us, we want to know.

    I have been to New Orleans and would love to go again! So much to do, and the food is fantastic! Just watch out for pick-pockets! Had one follow my husband and I and we ducked into a motel and thought we had lost him. When we left, he had been waiting for us around the corner. We started across the street which had a median and we turned and walked there (the grass in between both lanes of traffic). He went on across the street probably knowing that we knew he was following us. Other than that one bad experience, that would not keep me from going again. Just cautious!

    When I was a little girl, I jumped on every opportunity to go to New Orleans. It meant visiting the zoo, the aquarium and endless tourist shops. Now, New Orleans has lost its appeal to me, especially since Katrina. My area and areas very close to me were devastated by Rita, but you don't hear anything about those people's tragedy or spirit. New Orleans does not appeal to me now like to used to.

    I was there 20 years ago! We were there on business but we had some free time to sight-see. It is truly a beautiful city and alot of great culture to take in!

    New Orleans is a nice place, i remember when i was there on my seventeen, walking to the French square, for me it was amazing to see all the prodigious childs singing and dancing jazz, i dont know if still the same how was before, i would like to know about it!

    I have been throw New Orleans on my way to Florida but didn't get to stop. I would love to visit there some day.
