Valentine's Day is right around the corner. For some, this is a day to celebrate their love for that special someone. For others, its a day that we dread!
We were curious. Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? If so, what do you do to celebrate? If you don't celebrate, why not? Please tell us what you think. We want to know!

If i had a boyfiend i would. But im working on it, I think my friend is going to ask me this year.I like him so much too :-)
Our anniversary is 3 days later.
I was widowed while my children were young so i tried to make every holiday special to help them not to miss their dad. But, being alone, money was tight. I couldn't afford to take all four of them to a good restaurant so I would make them "gourmet" meals at home. Valentines dinners were always different, but I would splurge on a high end cut of meat and would cut vegs etc into heart shapes. Desserts were always extravagant looking but inexpensive. The one flop, au gratin heart shaped potatoes just didn't look right. we still laugh about that one, they did taste good though. One dessert they still ask for often is my homemade chocolate cups filled with chocolate mousse (jello brand) whipped cream colored pink, and chocolate heart decorations!! I would dish the dinners up like an expensive restaurant would to make them look pretty. and I decorated the dining room, complete with a house special menu. they loved it and now they carry on the tradition.
This will be our 2nd V-day together and we are celebrating by using a food gift card from X-mas. This way we have fun, enjoy a great meal, and not have to pay for it out of our own pocket! :)
enjoy little treat for my kids
I've been married for 20 years. We don't do anything fancy. We just acknowledge the day and make sure each knows that we love one another very much.
If we're going to celebrate, we usually do it the day before to avoid the crowds. We got my sister to watch our 2 year old and we're going to a movie and dinner. I'm looking forward to it!
My husband and I will spend a quiet day doing whatever we want. It is fun just being together. I am going to the store tomorrow and wil probably buy our dog a little treat or toy.
We don't do the Valentine's thing here. I want my husband to show he loves me 365 days a year, not just one day!
Since I am a widow now, I have nothing to celebrate, so I don't.
