There are so many ways to find out about new environmentally-friendly products. Magazines are chock-full of new ideas to be more eco-friendly, and it seems every time you go shopping there are new green products are on the shelves. Our kids are taught so much about the environment in schools these days, they often come home with new ideas and products to help us reduce our carbon footprints.
Of all the ways we learn about new environmental products these days, what is your top source of information?
My kids (3.3%)
Friends/co-workers (9.5%)
Media (TV news/magazine articles) (37.5%)
Seeing new environmentally-friendly products while shopping (26.5%)
Advertisements (on TV or in magazines) (23.3%)
Most of my information has been gained through following blogs. There are a lot of "green" bloggers out there and it is very interesting to see what they do to help our environment.
I generally find out information while watching tv programs and commercials. Sometime I receive information via email, but lately I've noticed quite a few tv ads.
I get most my info from magazines or tv, and alot from comparing products in the store
I notice ads on tv and coupons for new products that are "green".
I like to research ways I can help the earth on the internet.
Most environmental products I see are on T.V. Some are commercials and some are from the media/news.
I also find it really easy to use very basic products like: vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, coarse salt, baking powder, bleach. It's very easy to clean if you have these around. I tend to use them more now to save on money.
With all the positive press and air-time given to eco-friendly products, one can't help but be exposed to information regarding new products via any form of media. I think it is important for everyone to do as little or as much as they feel comfortable doing to support the "green" movement--for our future, but mainly for our children's futures.
I normally see the "go green" in magazines :) or advertisements from TV or posters
Yes, I see a lot of advertisement for go green or about the environment.
