I found that Kohls had good deals this year, especially with the extra savings you could get with being a credit card holder. They had great end-of-the-season deals, too, if you can quess what size your children will be next summer. Saved hundreds of dollars!
My kids aren't old enough for school yet, but I would say the home mailers and ads because that is how I find the best deals all year around!
We bought our school supplies at walmart this year when they had their back to school sale! We use coupons or wait until things go on sale.
I love Walmart! you can find almost everything you need...

Definitely steer clear of Wal-Mart. They may offer cheap prices - but they are compromising the lives of their workers and the lives of the people making their products. You can find similar prices and feel great about what you are buying by searching online bargain hunting sites like slickdeals.net and techbargains.com. I check these sites about 5 times a day. It's worth it. Happy hunting!
I agree you should buy school clothes at the end of the year to save big.
I found that shopping around back to school seasons is one of the best times to find your sales, you just have to be alert to the promos.
