I'm unemployed and have no health insurance. I worry that the government is pushing and acting too fast to get it passed. I would rather wait and make sure it's done right. Slow down, think this through, lets get it right. Everyone is going to suffer if they just passed it through and worry about trying to fix it later. Just so they can say we passed universal health care, whoopie.

If it's so great why isn't it good enough for Obama and his cronies??? Electing him was one of the biggest mistakes this country has ever made!!!

I think that if it is such a wonderful plan then EVERYONE needs to be on it from the president on down. Congress and the house should not have their own plan, nor should the president. I am sorry, but I am not a big believer in this type of healthcare. I do believe that something needs to be done, so everyone can afford private insurance but it should NOT be government run. Our government is in now in the used car business, Manufacturing, and now health care. This is way too much like socialism for my taste.

I don't know the details of the new plan, as I don't think anyone does, but I am glad the health care system is being tackled. It is long overdue. Good health care should not be tied to the plan that your employer offers, if you have an employer. Way too many decisions are made by insurance companies, not by doctors. Something needs to change.

Though we all can see a need for improvement in the health care system, not all change is good. Having the government trying to run our health care system is a set-up for disaster. The government has had problems trying to implement the 'cash-for-clunkers' program. They definitely should not be in charge of our health and well being.

If everyone would just be patient and let the President run the nation they would see real change. Rome wasn't built in a day so hold on and watch and see what happens before making negative comments.

I don't think that our government truly has its people in mind - they have the people who donated money to them to please. No Senator or Congressman has said - they read everyone of the 1100 pages of the stimulus bill. I guarantee no one has read this one - or we would know more about it. I think that regardless of party the Goverment for the people, by the people has long since been left by the side of the road. It's really sad.

I think it could work. We wanted and voted for change. Let the people we put in office give us that change!
