Have you started to buy holiday gifts in order to take advantage of current pre-holiday sales?

You may have noticed that retailers like Sears and Kmart have put holiday shopping displays up early this year?  They are hoping to get a jump on holiday sales by enticing consumers with sales well in advance of the holiday shopping season.

Would you start buying holiday gifts early because of a sale?  Or do you find this early push for the holidays annoying?

Please tell us what you think. We want to know!

Yes- why not be organized and take advantage of a sale! (35.1%)

No- I plan to wait until closer to the holidays (29.1%)

No- But, I plan to do holiday shopping earlier than usual (35.8%)

    For some reason each year I am always last minute when it comes to shopping for the holiday. This year I plan to shop earlier and shop smarter.

    Once school shopping and children's birthday are over, I plan on putting a layway on. Thank godness Kmart and Sears are still doing the layways.

    I usually wait until the week before Christmas. I may change the this year... :)

    I shop for Christmas all year long. If I see something I know one of my family or friends would love on sale; I snatch it up :-)

    If I know what family and friends want for Christmas, I would purchase it now when I see it on sale.

    I start buy gifts for the next year from the post christmas sales and when I find bargains throughout the year. Christmas is such a great season that it doesn't bother me in the least to see displays up early.

    I started buying a few items right after Christmas last year when a lot of seasonal stuff was marked down. Gradually I pick up things here and there when I see something someone might like at a really good price.

    I am a year round shopper and I am a clearance rack junkie. I am able to provide a great x-mas season for the kids on a budget and I always have this stash of gifts for when something comes up. I rarely have to purchace a gift when a b-day party invite comes up for one of the kids friends I just check the attic stash and 85% of the time I already have a great gift.

    I have no idea where we will be money wise when it closer to Christmas, so we are making some purchases now and waiting till it gets closer to Christmas to spend anymore. I hate to spend money now though, may have better deals later on too!

    I've thought about a couple holiday ideas but they will be handmade. The kids change their minds so much so I like to wait a little closer to find toys etc.
