I never used honey much but I will certainly start now in place of sugar.
I use local honey to help ease my allergies.
Honey is great for so many things. We always buy ours from the local university to support their entymology program. Knowing it is locally produced and supports a good cause makes it even better.
For allergy sufferers it is important to use local honey. Since we've started using local honey my children are completely off all allergy medicine and my daughter has not had one asthma attack. Honey is also a good topical ointment. If you cut yourself in the kitchen, wash the area and dab honey on it. The honey acts as a natural antiseptic.
When I am sick with a cold I always have a warm drink made of honey and fresh squeezed lemon. I swear by it. The honey helps the throat and is said to have natural antibiotic properties.
I use honey for many uses in the kitchen but my all time favorite use for honey is as a beauty product. I mix honey with aspirin to make a face mask and its amazing. the aspirin clears up your face from acne, bumps, and redness. It exfoliates and the honey pulls impurities out of your face as well as moisturizes! I love it !
I have never cared for the taste of honey but would be willing to give it a second chance. Being diabetic I need to find alternatives to sugar besides sugar substitutes.
i love honey to mix it with milk. is so delicious. that's how my mom used to give it to me. you should try it
This may sound weird, but my family and friend said that honey is good with coffee. I finally gave it a try in my black coffee and it tastes absolutely good. I think it gives a smoother texture to the coffee, compared to cane sugar.
Get your own beehive and you will never have to pay for honey again! I thought my husband was crazy when he told me he wanted to get his very own bees, but the first time he brought home free honey I was a huge fan. Honey can be expensive and if you use it a lot, you might find an investment in a hive to be a money well spent.
