The man was a genius. His music are milestones in my life. I can actually pick a song and remember where I was, what I was going through, how old I was. Its scary. I've been pretty much estranged from the idea of him dying until last night. Its just been surreal. I don't agree with alot of what he did but I think he did the things he did mainly because he was in a lot of pain. He didn't belong here. He probably even felt that way. Its very hard to be innocent and be in an environment where everyone wants you for something. You can either grow a tough skin that sometimes kills your innocence unknowingly or retreat into a shell. I hope he's found peace. His music inspired many. No celebrity NO ONE has received the amount of adoration as this man had. People gathering and playing his music and dancing in the streets worldwide????? Now that's inspiration. Thats influence. He will be sorely missed.

Michael Jackson has changed the music as we know it, developed new ways of making videos by telling a short story, he was amazingly talented, but unfortunately was not surrounded by proper people.

I think he was talented and very tormented...however, I am a child abuse survivor and cannot abide his actions. I have a very good idea that his SOMEONE close at the very least abused him and several of his sibs...and the cycle of abuse only ends if someone says enough! I won't abuse....like I have. I think what he has said in public alone is cause for concern...let alone the things left to imagine. I feel for the entire Jackson brood as I believe they all had very tortured lives. However, you decide your actions! And sleeping in bed with children other than your own? Irresponsible at the very least! I think the controversy exceeds the music, IMHO! I do hope he can now know the peace he never had here...and that the cycle stops.

I used to LOVE LOVE Michael Jackson growing up (had posters all over my room!) but imo he totally turned creepy. Yes, he was amazingly talented but unfortuately his bizaree personal life overshowed some of that.

I would have said his music if it was twenty years ago but ever since then it seems like it's been all controversy.
